Hope you all had a Happy Easter. I am still on the creme eggs and Bertie is demolishing his crocodile chews. I have been to a meeting tonight about the Exhibition and I have seen the map we are now number 9 on the map. It's all getting very exciting.
Wool supplies are running low again which is positive because that means the stream is growing. The guinness book of records are assessing the claim for the longest knitted stream as yet I don't think there is a record so our stream could be the first and they should be in touch within 4-6weeks. The exhibition is before this but we will keep the blog going until the stream has been dismantled and given to the various charities. We will keep you posted of the outcome.
Some photographs that have been sent in of the latest works.
garter stitch on 10mm needles |
moss or seed stitch |
rib stitch triple stripes |
Please Keep the photos coming in. Thank you to those of you that have it's always good to see what stitches others are doing etc. I have been attempting tumbling block stitch which I shall photograph and put on wednesday's blog. Remember any stitch can be used and any needle size the stream gives you a chance to experiment , be adventurous. be as creative as you wish. also please keep those stories coming in? Bye for now Angel
